He was unable to produce identification.
I have called Accuread to notify them.
If your Electricity or Gas Supplier uses Accuread to read your meter. You can check the identity of the reader by calling freephone : 0800 393 499.

I work as a meter reader for AccuRead myself and I can tell everyone that all our meter readers HAVE to wear there i.d AT ALL TIMES.
If they do not have i.d with him then showing name and i.d number and the freephone number on it then they are not from AccuRead.
Always check.
